    • Create workflows for data exchange between electronic health record (EHR) systems, laboratory information systems (LIS), radiology systems, and other healthcare applications.
    • Configure integration engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody) to manage message routing and transformation.
  4. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
    • Investigate and resolve interface-related issues, such as missing data, failed messages, or connectivity problems.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and implement solutions.
  5. Security and Privacy Compliance:
    • Ensure that HL7 interfaces adhere to security and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
    • Implement encryption, authentication, and access controls to protect patient data.
  6. Documentation and Training:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of interface specifications, configurations, and mappings.
    • Train end-users and technical staff on using HL7 interfaces effectively.
  7. Collaboration with Clinical and IT Teams:
    • Work closely with clinicians, nurses, and IT professionals to understand their requirements and optimize data exchange.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to enhance interoperability.
  8. Stay Current with HL7 Standards:
    • Keep up-to-date with HL7 standards, including new versions and emerging technologies (e.g., HL7 FHIR).
